Bakerloo Theatre Project has just launched their online fundraiser campaign to raise money for their current season. Artistic Directors Lily Junker and William Addis recently filmed a 2:45 video that explains Bakerloo's mission and need for money this season. The video can be viewed by clicking here. In keeping with the season, which includes Twlefth Night Or What You Will, they have aptly named their fundraiser "Twelve Dollars Or What You Will".

Bakerloo Theatre Project's 2011 season will be produced at 291 River Street in Troy, NY. 291 River was the site of Bakerloo's critically acclaimed productions of Romeo and Juliet and Under Milk Wood in 2010. Once again, Bakerloo will convert this empty storefront into a temporary performance space for the month of July.

Bakerloo is committed to the idea that theatre is best experienced broken free from the confines of a traditional performance space. In past seasons, Bakerloo has performed at Academy Hall, West Hall and Mother's Coffee House on the campus of RPI, at Emma Willard School and the Round Lake Auditorium, and at coffee houses, bars, libraries and schools throughout the Northeast.

The above picture (courtesy of A.J. Tindall) of Managing Director Eric Chase, Artistic Director Lily Junker, and Artistic Director William Addis, was named as RUNNER UP on June 9, 2011 for the Let's Go MoBO Photo Contest part of Time Union's Best of the Capital Region poll/contest.

Contestants were asked to send in pictures of what they thought best captured the Capital Region. They were judged in categories of People, Places, Things, Events and MoBo (short for "Mobile Best Of").

Congratulations!! 

Unville Brazil, a new musical presented by FullStop Collective and written by company member Patrick Shaw, opens tonight at The Drilling Company. The musical also stars Becca Landis, another Bakerloovian. We would like to wish them the best of luck on the run of the show!

Show times will be Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM with an additional performance June 6 at 8 PM.

Congratulations to company member Adam Mathias who won the Best Book of a Musical Drama Desk Award for See Rock City & Other Destinations on May 23, 2011. He is one of the few winners to be honored for their contributions to Off-Broadway theater.

Mathias has created music for many of Bakerloo's past productions, including The Tempest, as well as adapting Hamlet: What Dreams May Come. Bakerloo is lucky to have him come on board again this summer to head the music of Twelfth Night.
